Uncharted

A free workshop for pre-sales individual contributors (ICs) working out their next move.

The workshop is a good fit for you if...

  • You're good at the pre-sales role but less sure where it leads, especially as AI is reshaping the industry and the profession

  • You can feel a change coming and want to choose your next move rather than drift into it

  • You're curious about the directions pre-sales professionals actually take, beyond the obvious two or three

What we cover in the workshop

An interactive session designed to give you a clearer view of the directions open to you.

i.

A framework for the decision

A clear way to think through your next move. Start with your motivations, explore what the market offers, then find the best match. The same approach I use one-to-one in my coaching.

ii.

A better read on the pre-sales market

A look at how AI is reshaping pre-sales roles, and the real choice between traditional vendors and AI-native companies. You leave with a sense of which directions exist beyond the obvious ones.

iii.

A self-service tool to explore roles

We introduce the Pre-Sales Pathfinder, a free tool you can then use to explore all 20 roles at your own pace, with information on compensation, travel and availability for each.

About the host

I’m Chris Clark, a former Distinguished SE and host of the Pre-Sales Pathways podcast, now working full-time as a career coach for pre-sales ICs. Like a lot of people, I assumed progression meant moving into management. Working with a coach helped me realise I wanted to stay on the IC track, and the years I then spent discovering and crafting roles showed me just how many options that track holds.
